For pool-adjacent surfaces, AZEK full PVC is the more appropriate choice over standard capped composite — its zero wood-fiber construction handles constant moisture exposure better than composite over the long term. For the primary deck area away from the pool, Trex Transcend or TimberTech PRO composite is excellent — the capped polymer shell resists the moisture cycling that New Braunfels’ climate produces better than wood.
