Zoning the property intentionally. On a suburban lot, the outdoor living area is the back patio — one zone, one structure. On a Bulverde acreage property, the outdoor living environment can be distributed across the property with intentional zones: primary deck and covered living area adjacent to the home, fire pit area positioned for views and wind protection in the yard, garden or landscape features along the property’s natural features. We design the full property layout during the consultation, not just the deck footprint.
Sizing to the landscape. A 300 sq ft deck on a suburban lot fills the yard visually. A 300 sq ft deck on an acre property looks like a postage stamp.
